Apple’s App Library organizes apps automatically, including a hidden app folder that some users find unnecessary or annoying. Unfortunately, Apple does not currently allow users to remove this folder. However, there are workarounds that can help you minimize its visibility and manage your apps more effectively.
Apple designed the Hidden Apps folder in the App Library for privacy and security reasons. Even if you don’t have any hidden apps, the folder still appears so that others cannot tell if you have hidden anything.
Unlike other folders in the App Library, there is no option to disable, edit, or remove the Hidden Apps folder. Apple likely intended it as a permanent feature to prevent users from accidentally losing track of their apps.
If the App Library is cluttered with unnecessary folders, you can stop using it by organizing your apps manually.
This mimics the App Library’s organization but gives you full control.
Instead of going into the App Library, use Spotlight Search to find your apps quickly.
This lets you completely ignore the App Library and avoid seeing the Hidden Apps folder.
Apple doesn’t currently allow users to remove the Hidden Apps folder, but they may change this in future updates. You can submit a feature request to Apple asking for an option to disable it.
