Many iPhone users are reporting issue with apps like Snapchat Instagram TikTok facebook accessing iPhone photos. If you open an app on the apps it will give errors like “Snapchat is a camera app, To continue, you will need to give camera access to the app”.
And it asks you to go to Settings to enable access to your camera or photos there are no options to grant access. Restarting the iPhone does not seems to fix the issue. This is annoying as iPhone apps not able to access photos on different iPhones like iPhone 15,14 Pro, 13 Pro max /iOS 18 etc.
Some iPhone user reported that iphone apps not able to access photos only after latest iOS 18 update.
Privacy setting in iPhone can cause issue like iPhone apps not able to access photos. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > photos > and allow photos for that app you want. Also in the same page got to camera > and allow it to the app you want. Reboot the iPhone and check again.
For example if you are not able to access photo on outlook, go to Settings / Privacy and Security / Camera – give Outlook full access to the Camera.
Another method to try if iPhone apps not able to access photos, is to reset the Location & Privacy. IT will reset the Powers of your app and then you may be able to allow the “photos” for your app again, Go to settings > General > Transfer or reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. Hope this will fix the issue and your apps in iPhone will start to acees all photos.
