Many users are getting annoyed by the iPhone issue that When they type ‘The’ on iPhone it corrects to ‘Theresa’. iPhone replacing common words with names is serious issue and it is making life really hard for iPhone users to text.
iPhone’s autocorrect feature, which seems to replace commonly used words with unrelated names, leading to frequent miscommunications and annoyance. The issue is reported with diffrent iPhone models like iPhone 16,15 Pro max.
For instance, typing “the” unexpectedly transforms into “Theresa,” and “is” becomes “Isabella,”. This issue is particularly frustrating when the phone fails to recognize their daughter’s name, which they type often, opting instead for a similar-sounding but incorrect suggestion. While the iPhone users are reluctant to disable autocorrect entirely due to its utility, they contemplate exploring the text replacement method as a potential solution, hoping to regain control over their typing experience and reduce the frequency of these aggravating errors.
The iPhone autocorrecting words to other random word is not linked to autocorrect settings. To fix that you need to reset your keyboard to factory settings. Go to Settings/General/Transfer or Reset iPhone/Reset/Reset Keyboard dictionary.
Another way to fix Apple doing wrong auto correction on its own is to disable the Apple Dictionary.
To do that Go to Settings > General > Dictionaries. Then disable Apple Dictionary. Check again and hopefully this will fix the issue.
